Well, actually it's 'basement' improvement. Tim and I bought our first house this last March from a couple who happen to now be good friends of ours. We've absolutely loved everything about it - so now we've decided to just create a little more living space by finishing the basement. Just thought we'd keep you updated on this big (and scary!) project.

So before we got started, we thought we should have a place for all the 'stuff'' that calls the basement 'home'...

































Tim's sister Chandra and her husband Mike just finished their basement as well, and have been a HUGE help in getting us started. So this last weekend, Tim worked on putting a sealant on the walls - well most of them anyway :)

Time Flies When You're Having Fun!

Monday, September 4th Tim and I celebrated our one year anniversary! We decided to take some time off work and spend a few days in Chicago. Monday we had our anniversary dinner at the downtown Cheesecake Factory and then went to the top of the Hancock Building to the observatory. We stayed in downtown Chicago on Michigan Avenue and then spent the entire next day visiting the Adler Planetarium, Shedd Aquarium and the Field Museum. We had a great time - and the beautiful weather made it the perfect one -year celebration.
