We Still Go to Taco Bell

One of my bestest friends came to visit me for the weekend... Stacey and I became close friends in college at Indiana Wesleyan, but have known each other since schooldays at Archbold. Stace lives in Ft. Wayne now - not too far - but it's always way too long in between our visits. So needless to say, we talk non-stop and have so much fun whenever we do get to hang out. We had an awesome time shopping the Michigan City outlets (where there was a record-breaking shoe buying spree) and an afternoon up at Lake Michigan.

Here come The IRISH...

Line 'em up for a thumping. I'm afraid my ND boys are in for a looonnngggg year. The Mrs. and I were fortunate enough to come across a pair of tickets to the ND home opener vs. Georgia Tech this last Saturday. It was a picture perfect day. We arrived at the stadium two hours before kickoff, which gave us just enough time to find our way over to the chapel before the team filed out in front of us.

We also stood about five feet away from Charlie Wiess. I felt like I was a paparazzi...

We then found our way over to "Touchdown Jesus"

Our seats were in the south endzone, about half ways up. We made a couple of new friends that were a pleasant suprise as our bleacher buddies. Considering we practically had to sit on each other's legs, it was nice that they were great people.

Well, this definitely won't be the year of the Irish, but you know I'll still be planted in front of the tube whenever they're on. (So will Sondra!)
