Graduations and Expectations

For those of you who live near us and wonder where we are... and for those who don't and wonder where we've been... It's a little thing called do-it-yourself basement remodeling, and it's taking us a lot longer than we expected. But... so far we're pleased with the results. A little before/after preview pic.

We did manage to emerge from the depths to get out this weekend for a little bit (thank goodness). Actually, we ended up down at IWU (Indiana Wesleyan University). My cousin Branson, who hails from Montana originally, was graduating - so the family went down for that and his open house. I have to admit, it was a little weird being back on campus after three years... I half expected to see all the same people that were there when I was. Except for a few new buildings, it really wasn't that different. In fact, I felt right at home among all the orange construction fencing.

Anyways, CONGRATS BRANSON on now becoming an official IWU almnus (is that the right form of the word?)

Aunt, cousins and Mom.
And to end the weekend on the most QUINN-tessential note... The Dawgs have him now and I'm already out shopping for Tim's first Browns jersey.
(Come on... we all knew he was a "Buckeye" at heart, right?)

Rain... No, Snow Delay

So Tim and his brother-in-law had tickets to take a few clients to the Cleveland Indians game this last Saturday...

Jacob's Field - April 8

Easter Greetings (a little late)

Hope everyone had a great Easter vacation! With the exception of a little strep throat on my part... :( we had a great time with both our families.

Ever since moving over here to Northeast Indiana, I've heard that I haven't truly had "breakfast" until I've had it at the Essenhause in Middlebury (which is also a part of "Amish Country" - in addition to next-door Shipshewana). So Mom and Dad Bontrager treated the family to an awesome pre-Easter breakfast - and they were right. Then it was Easter basket time for the grandkids :)

(Pink just isn't your color Unca Timmy)

Off to Ohio to Mom and Dad's... I don't think I've "officially" posted this on my blog, but this happened to be the first holiday we've spent together while my brother is in Iraq. He left the last week in March and wish I could give more detais, but of course, can't. So we took lots of pictures to send him later. We celebrated my sister's 22nd birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY KENDRA! And my cousin Alyssa, who's originally from Montana but a freshman down at Indiana Wesleyan, spent Sunday with us as well. And of course, Easter wouldn't be complete without coloring a few eggs... I guess you're never too old, right?
