Christmas Tree #3

I'll never forget... Our first Christmas tree came from this cute little tree farm in Amish Country Middlebury, IN. The perfect setting, with snow falling and families tromping through it - just to find that "perfect" one. Our second Christmas tree - poor thing - was given a little less thought and adopted from a Menards sidewalk lot. And this year... well, the chosen tree was one of about 40 in a small Charlie Brown-like lot 3 miles from our house. A little turn-around-drive where modest trees were all lined up against temporary fence posts with bright spotlights shing down... and a little gentleman named Dominic (we know this because it was "Dominic's Tree Lot") who helped hoist it up onto the top of our Jeep. There became the 2007 Bontrager Christmas Tree.

Glenn's Cmas Tour

Around Christmas-time, I always have intentions of going to plays or concerts or shows that are on this time of the year. Of course, with the "busyness" of everything, it rarely (Ok, never) happens.
But this last Monday, Sean - our brother-in-law - got us and his wife tickets to the Glenn Beck Christmas Tour in Toledo. It was such a nice, spontaneous get-away and we had so much fun. Of course, Glenn had us crying and laughing in the span of minutes - and sometimes, at the same time. For the Glenn fans out there, it truely was the "fusion of entertainment and enlightenment".
