Family Weekend

How fun is it when your whole family can spend two days together - just for the fun of it? For the Bontragers, that would mean 9 adults and 4 kids (all 5 and under). The Bontragers decided that for "vacation" this year, they'd just spend time at home (really, is there a better place?)

So Saturday was a full day at Gene & Barb's - and Sunday, Tim and I hosted.
What a good lookin' crew. The Bontrager Family picture taken Saturday morning.

Other activities included:
- going horseback riding at Uncle Richard's
- playing on Grandma & Aunt Sondra's swingsets
- roasting marshmellows around Grandpa's fire pit
- homerun derby & cornhole
- swimming in Uncle Timmy's pool
- playing in Aunt Sondra's & Uncle Timmy's big "sandbox"
- and, lots and lots of eating...

D.C. Vacation

Tim and I just got back from a vacation we took with my parents to Washington D.C. It was absolutely amazing to see all the monuments and memorials in "real life". Unknown to me at the time, it has turned out to be one of my favorite vacations. So here's a little story of it in pictures (the only way I'd ever known it before going :)
Who knew the Marines "Iwo Jima" Monument was so big...
