Backyard Vball

So some of you know this, but when Tim and I bought our house, it came complete with a sand volleyball court in the backyard (regulation size, I might add). Whenever people come over, they inevitably ask - "So do you guys actually use it?" Of course we do! Well, not "Tim and I" personally (would look kind of silly with the two of us out there hitting the ball back and forth). But a few Tuesdays nights this past summer we had an "open court" for any of our friends from church who wanted to come over and play. And of course, it's always fun to host family get-togethers.

Well, this past Saturday the court got the most use of the entire year. The couple we bought our house from have become really great friends of ours - and also coach the 7th and 8th grade girls volleyball teams at our local middle school. So this past Saturday, we hosted both teams for an afternoon of volleyball - 22 girls in all. It was a lot of fun, and nice for Tim and I to be able to connect with some of the players and their parents in the community.

Football Season

So the weekend that I think my husband waits for the entire year has finally arrived. Forget that it was a beautiful, sunny and 75 degree weekend in NE Indiana... We spent our entire Saturday & Sunday inside watching... football. Tim's commented before that he's lucky to have a wife who enjoys it almost as much has he does, with it only posing one minor "problem"... we're on opposite teams. I'm the Ohio State, Cleveland Browns fanatic - and he's loyal to his Notre Dame and Indianapolis Colts. For example, the bottom of the basement stairs...

Where there's one - there has to be other. But in the end... that's just fine with us :)

Just the Two of Us

So I've been a little blog-lazy lately. Not because we're not keeping busy - just the opposite. I've just been.... well, blog-lazy :) However, yesterday was a pretty special day for Tim and I - we celebrated our 3rd Anniversary.

Then...

... and now.
