Elkhart Co. Fair

Since moving to this area of Indiana, I've been told over and over that I have to do two things - 1. go to a Notre Dame game (check), and 2. go to the Elkhart County Fair. Well, after 4 years, I finally made it there (and in all honesty, aren't all fairs the same?) We...

... ate greasy fair food

... saw all the farm animals in every 4-H barn

... rode a few tried-and-true fair rides

... and the best part - had a great time with our family!

Bridal Showers

This past weekend was one I had been planning for quite a long time. With the help of my mom, sister, and Becky's Mom - we held a bridal shower for my soon-to-be sister-in-law.

Sunday evening, my parents church (also the church us kids grew up in) gave them a wedding shower as well. After 4 years in the Marine Corps and 1 tour of duty in Iraq... at one time, this day seemed so far away...

And while I was away having fun, Tim was in Idaho on business. One of my biggest "pet peaves" is that blue football field in Boise State (seriously, I complain every time it's on TV). So of course, Tim had to bring me back a little souvenir.
